Job Description
As a valued contributor to our team, you will consult with management on the development of processes and procedures for designing and implementing components of technological structures. In this role, you will create solutions with a process-driven view, as well as maintain and/or update existing structures.

Assist Fannie Mae in developing its technology strategy and building trust with partners and stakeholders
Provide strategic leadership to develop and implement best practices within the machine learning/ Ops, data management, and application architecture
Bridge the technical capabilities to business needs to enable the data-driven-decisioning at an enterprise level
Develop technical capabilities and architectural patterns to streamline Machine Learning, Analytics and AI practices
Establish architecture guidelines, controls, and processes to make applications safe, sound, efficient and flexible to enhance business performance and solve business challenges.
Enable modernization of Machine Learning/ Analytics and Artificial Intelligence platforms on Cloud. Provide prescriptive guidelines in refactoring legacy applications
Prepare and deliver architecture guidance to highlight value proposition and unique differentiators to influence stakeholders
Promote innovation – stay abreast with new and emerging technologies/patterns/methodologies and market offerings that may be relevant to Fannie Mae
Lead architectural reviews to ensure solution addresses customer pain points, business, and technical requirements, and alignment to standards and best practices.

Minimum Required Experiences

8 years in Data Science Architecture
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Desired Experiences

5+ years’ experience in stakeholder and vendor management.
AWS certified Solution Architect – Professional
AWS certified Data Analytics – Specialty
AWS certified Database – Specialty
AWS certified Machine Learning – Specialty
Minimum of 5 years technical solutions implementation, architecture design, evaluation, and innovation in a cloud environment (specifically AWS), Hybrid, and/or On-Prem.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Solution/Technical Architecture in the cloud.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Big Data and Analytics in the Cloud.
Experience working with streaming platforms such as Kinesis or Kafka
Experience working with Containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes or Fargate
Financial services industry experience
Hands on experience with Python, Spark, and Machine Learning tools & technologies
Integration with Salesforce platform is a plus


Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority
Must be able to prioritize, delegate and foster the development of high-performance teams to lead/support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork
Strong/Authoritative knowledge of Data, Enterprise Architecture and Data Science concepts – ability to collaborate and influence architecture decisions at an enterprise-level
Experience/Thought leadership in authoring ML/AI architecture and Data Management strategy
In-depth understanding of Machine Learning/ AI (ML/AI) concepts – proven track record of building, deploying and operationalizing ML/AI capabilities at the enterprise-level
Proven track-record of architecting robust/ scalable and secure ML/AI collaborative platforms
Demonstrate an ability to collaborate with Data Scientists and Technical Architects to interpret/translate business needs to Architecture
Experience working with and creating application and data architectures for customer facing real-time and batch-based applications and analytics solutions
Understanding of distributed data management principles, data streaming and data mesh strategies
Knowledge of cyber resiliency and data loss prevention strategies
Experience with application & data security (including PCI, PII data), as well as data privacy regulations (CCPA and GDPR)
Experience in developing strategy and architecture patterns to support data engineering and data science community
Working experience in hybrid data eco system comprising of on-prem legacy applications and modern microservices and event driven applications in cloud environment.
