Job Description :
The Administrative Assistant for Medical Operations works closely with Medical Director, Director Clinical Operations, providers, and other medical support and administrative staff to provider clerical and administrative support in the daily operations of the clinics. Manage the credentialling process for United Community Health Center.

Provides administrative support by maintaining provider schedules assists in maintaining daily clinical coverage. Manage provider monthly clinic schedule, time off requests, CME.
Supports Directors with such items as managing calendars, scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, preparing letters, documents, and correspondence, arranging training, conferences, and travel.
Coordinates meetings, retreats, arranges training including catering, materials, presentations, meeting set up and clean up, and follow up on items.
Oversees and tracks provider credentialing and privileging of providers for contracted insurance plans and license reviews.
Maintains files pertaining to tasks and related to the functions of the supported staff.
Manage resident scheduling and communication with the resident program director.
Manager provider on-call schedule with providers and on-call service.
Populate provider timesheets and contractual encounter payout for Medical Director verification and release to payroll department.
Prepare, file and track provider contracts.
Run monthly reports for encounters and coordinate information for Directors’ reports to the Board of Directors.
Work with insurance carriers on the credentialling process, track progress, provide required information, communicate status regularly.

Experience and Skills

3-5 years of administrative support work
Knowledge of office equipment required. Demonstrated proficiency in administrative support.
Experience in a primary health care delivery organization including knowledge of medical terminology, insurance carriers, and health insurance programs and products.
Ability to interpret and apply policy and procedures.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize work and seek help as required.
A positive, professional attitude and ability to work in a team environment.
